Intro: Municipalities and regions are the core of welfare services that impact millions every day. Our members have given us a clear mission: for Sweden to have the world's most innovative and caring welfare system. The coming years will present challenges requiring courage, creativity, competence, and a willingness to change. We bring forward what works today to build welfare for tomorrow. Responsibilities: As an intern at SKR's Brussels office, your main task is to seek and forward information on policy areas relevant to the association’s members, for example via newsletters and open consultations from the European Commission. You will help organize visit programs for member groups visiting Brussels by contacting EU institutions, partner organizations, and arranging meeting venues. After initial training, you will also receive visiting groups and inform them about the Brussels office’s work. Monitoring meetings and conferences and reporting back is another key responsibility. You will assist with various practical office tasks and support coordination of materials for the Swedish delegation to the EU Committee of the Regions. Qualifications: We seek candidates with a completed or nearly completed academic degree in social sciences, preferably with an EU focus. A strong interest in municipalities and regions is a plus. Excellent English is required, and knowledge of French is an advantage. We highly value social skills and strong written and oral communication abilities. This internship is paid.
